Strengthening Partnerships for the Future
On 5 February 2026, Levantina Global had the honour of attending the Sixteenth Netherlands Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Trade Dinner, hosted at the distinguished Sociëteit De Witte in The Hague. As a company dedicated to fostering meaningful cross‑regional collaboration, this annual gathering continues to be one of the most valuable platforms for engaging with leaders shaping the future of the Netherlands–MENA relationship.
Organized by the Netherlands–MENA Business Council, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Nyenrode Business University, the event brought together an exceptional group of ambassadors, senior government officials, business representatives, and industry innovators. For Levantina Global, it was a significant opportunity to deepen existing partnerships and explore new avenues for cooperation across the region.
A Dynamic Evening of Dialogue and Insight
The evening opened with a warm networking reception, offering space to reconnect with familiar partners and meet new stakeholders from across the Netherlands and the MENA region. Guests were welcomed by Mrs. Marian Reijnen, Director of the Netherlands–MENA Business Council, whose leadership continues to play a central role in strengthening bilateral engagement.
The programme featured an insightful address by Mrs. Guusje Korthals Altes, Director for North Africa and the Middle East at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who highlighted current regional developments and the importance of sustained diplomatic and economic cooperation.
Dinner was formally opened by Mr. Salim Rabbani, Chairman of the Netherlands–MENA Business Council, followed by a beautiful musical performance that created an atmosphere conducive to meaningful conversation and connection.
The keynote address by Mr. Jeroen Plag, Chief Investment Officer at Invest International, underscored emerging investment opportunities and the strategic importance of long‑term partnerships. His remarks aligned closely with Levantina Global’s mission and ongoing work in the region.
The programme also included an inspiring contribution from Ms. Tala Abdalhadi of the Dutch Film Academy, who shared her experience with student exchange and the value of cultural and educational collaboration.
Building Connections That Matter
Throughout the evening, Levantina Global engaged with ambassadors, business leaders, and representatives from key sectors. These conversations opened the door to promising opportunities and reinforced the importance of continued cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, innovation, and cultural exchange.
From exploring potential partnerships to discussing shared priorities across industries, the event provided a strong foundation for future collaboration. Levantina Global remains committed to nurturing these relationships and contributing to initiatives that strengthen economic and cultural ties between the Netherlands and the MENA region.
