Cookie notice

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Levantina Global Coöperatie U.A. ("we", "our") keeps cookies and similar technologies to a minimum on www.levantinaglobal.com. We use them only when they are needed for the website, security, or to remember choices you make. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies, or cookies for visitor analytics.

What we use

• Your cart. Your shopping cart is saved in your browser's local storage on your device, not in a cookie, so it is still there when you come back. It stays on your device until you check out.
• Your language. Two small cookies of ours, called lvpick and googtrans, remember your language for up to a year. lvpick is set when you pick a language or answer our language suggestion; googtrans only when you choose a language that Google translates.
• Your account. Only if you sign in, two cookies of ours keep you signed in for up to 30 days: lv_session, a random sign-in key that page scripts cannot read, and lv_in, which only says that you are signed in. Your first name is also kept in your browser's local storage (lvname) so we can greet you. Signing out removes all three. Visitors who do not sign in get none of them.
• Our newsletter pop-up. When you close the newsletter pop-up, your browser remembers this for 30 days in local storage on your device (lvnp_until), so it does not appear again in that time. If you subscribe through it, your browser also remembers that (lvnl_done), so you are not asked again. Neither is sent to us.
• Your accessibility settings. If you use the accessibility button (the round icon at the edge of the page) to change the text size, text spacing or contrast, your choices are saved in your browser's local storage on your device (under the name lva11y), so the next page looks the same. "Reset accessibility settings" in the same panel removes them. They are not sent to us.
• Translation by Google. Only after you choose a language other than English or Dutch (in the language menu, or by saying yes when we suggest your browser's language), your browser loads Google's translation tool, which receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. We never switch it on for you. To stop it, pick English or Dutch in the language menu.
• Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read and how fast they load. It does not use cookies and does not store anything on your device.
• Spam protection. When you start filling in the contact or report form, Cloudflare Turnstile loads to tell people from bots. It is used for security, not for advertising.
• Secure checkout. You pay on Stripe's own secure page. Stripe may place its own payment and fraud-prevention cookies there. They belong to Stripe and are set on Stripe's page, not on ours.

Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may also use technical security cookies to keep the site safe and online.

Consent

The cookies and browser storage described above are used for technical security, requested website functionality, or to remember choices you make. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies or store information on your device. Google Translate is loaded only after you actively choose a translated language. We therefore do not display a general cookie-consent banner. If we introduce advertising, tracking, or other technologies requiring consent, we will ask for your consent before activating them.

Your choices

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The shop still works, but your language choice will not be remembered.
